Sticking around $420...

So here is a short update.
Monday
I joined 3 tourneys wich I didn't complete itm. $20 loss. In the cashgames i did quit well and was $30 up. I decided to take a shot @ 25NL but this shot didn't go as well as my previous shots. So i dropped $30. I lost 20 that evening. back to $397...

Thuesday (The site says this post is generated on Thuesday but where I live it is wednesday allready :D)
Yesterday I trapped myself on making to many moves on loose villains. I dropped 1 buyin very quick. Hmmm. That didn't went well so i decided to open 2 more tables. With opening 2 other tables (6 tables total) i don't have very much time so i don't quit make as much moves. And it worked. But i still don't feel like i've gained enough. I got aces in a 3way pot against 2 shortys. KK vs JJ vs my AA. But i've we where deep enough that would have been 3 buyins for me with the flop Jxx and a A turned where we got it in.
And 1 hand i flopped a set with only a 20BB shorty in the hand. I pick my tables carefully with deepstacks but they didn't compete much with me.
In the end I was +$23 leaving me again @ ~$420.

Goals on short term. Play less tourneys, play more cashgames.

Dollar vs Euro

I have some currency issues. It is pretty good to think about it because I never hear someone about it. When I made my initial deposit I got $65 for €50 wich leaves me $1,3 for €1.
The currency right now is $1,36 for each €1. So when I withdrawal right now i loose 420*0,06 = $25 dollar due to currency fluctuations. I'm thinking off writing a letter to stars about this matter.

I will be suggesting to make our bankrolls in € and change it in $ when we are willing to play. When they change the changerate of the money everyday we loose almost no money. But i don't know if PS can make this work, I saw it on VC Poker and it got me thinking.

If i see it all wrong here, or i've you have some addition to this line of thinking pls comment.
Imo we are all losing due to this.

Yesterday i had a very bad session. I semibluffed allin the turn 3 times against tags, with 15 outs but it seemed they couldn;t lay down TPTK today and i didn't hit my draws.
So don't semibluff without FE :]

I went down 2 BI's, and after 300 hands I quitted for the day and played some Counter-Strike, where the fish where even bigger. After that I grapped a beer watched some football (EL OH EL @ NAC-fishes) and went to bed. And i thought by myself:"There are so much donkeys and fishes on this world, how the *** could i loose tonight."

This evening i'm planning to play the 5+0.5 @ 19:00 CET. Wish me luck!

Special Congratz to Wubwubwub. Who ended 2nd in the 11+R for a prize of $ 5K! FTW dude!

I'm trying from now on to post a small progress post everyday about the day before. I don't have many readers jet, but i hope they will come. I can't imagen Lady_vera (see links) Has 800+ hits and i only got 150. It must be really nice to be a girl ammong a world of guys.

I also started my second blog (link on the upper left) where i will try to post a "strategy" article once a weak to analyze it with my own game.

Ok, how did yesterdays session go? I started 4 tabling with 1 tourney (2+r) where I didnt had much luck at all so i was down $12. Loosing every CF and looking up to domination AJ vs AQ etc.

Taking a shot on 25NL:
I did double very fast with TT on a [KKQ][T] board. Where the flop was checked around by someone with AK, hoping for my cbet of course ;) I was very happy about my game. Youre raises getting far more respect here, and i must say my feeling here was much better than on 10NL.

I started a 5/27 donkament 2 wich i ended 3th $24. Final hand:
Villain Raises from SB, I push allin for his whole stack 7times his raise with QJs (i got 300 behind with T800) and he calls with KT (where did he find balls to call that?) I played a very solid final table with only showing QQ and a set of 7's) He was not committed what so ever. But what the hell i don;t care. Lets hope they call when i have a real hand. :)

At the end of the day i was up $40, which is 10% of my roll. So it was a good day.

For the record: 15march to 18 april my bankrol increased with 572%

Half april update:

It post some screenies because it is a bit easier than typing big stories :

And the profit graph of course!

So as you could see i took a short shot @ 25NL. I was multitabling with 1 table of NL25 and it went pretty good. I'm planning to take another shot when i reach $450.

As you can also see is that i had a big upswing the last 200 hands. I stacked a guy 3 times. AA vs TPTK... 65s vs TPTK (AI on flop 56J)... 75s vs KT (AI on flop T86 **OESFD).

I don't want to see this as luck because after 600 hands yesterday i took a break and i analyzed my pld hands. I was pretty supprised i was dealt 32 pocket pairs and no one became a set. (Except for the two times i flopped Quads).

Most profitable hands: AA, QQ, AKs, KK, JJ, 87s, 89s

Most losing hands: ATs, KQ, A9s, A8s...

I have to focus on these losing hands especially. In my mind i call those suited aces to much on paired boards, where villains river a boat on a flush boards. I can't lay them down :). For KQ i need to take a look at my game. Maybe i should fold this UTG from now on.

Keep posting dudes!

First tilt session since my serious attempt of creating a profitable game.

I was running really well yesterday, but i ran into a 83/34/3 donk who hitted everything. He puts me allin with A8o on a A2256 board with 3 spades. I fold and he shows his "move" when i try to isolate him, i didnt just hit one single hand. TT vs 98s postflop allin on 9 high board en he spiked his 8 on teh river. At one time were again in a reraised pot i have JJ and he has A6 and hits his ace.. and puts me allin on the turn ... and on and on.
This wasn't the real bad side of the game i did have te best hands preflop and just got unlucky right? Well later on i started to make some moves, like 2 barreling with bottom pair in the hole. Pushing with SD's ( What was i thinking i didnt had any FE). I was very unhappy with my game, on the other tables i called almost everything down. I really have some notes on me now.

On the end i stopped playing after about 600 hands and i was break even. With my A-game i would be like 6 buyins up i guess.

So this morning i was wondering where did it went all wrong? That thought is going trough my head all morning, so i decided to write it out.
It all started at the table with the donk. Where he after a good hand said he would take all my chips and i responded to that with:"Take a look at your chips this is the last look you can have on them." STUPID!!! I forced myself to get his chips... It became a personal vendetta between me and him. Than you let your feelings come in and you don't want to do that. In poker you need to be emotionally stabile and a villain should not come in to your head like that. It forced me to play different game then my A-game.
You don't want to get angry because somebody makes a bad call and outdraws you. It happens. Fishes can be lucky, don't even care about it. And especially:"DONT TRY TO IMPRESS THEM IN THE CHAT ABOUT HOW BAD THE PLAY. THEY DONT CARE, THEY PLAY TO MAKE SUCKOUTS! AND MAKE PROFIT BECAUSE I CALL THEM DOWN SO LIGHT"
So what are the solutions of this problem. Its pretty simple: Put off the chat. I think if the chat was off (like i normally do watching "stats") i would probably typing this article with a title like:"My biggest win session since march."

So I'm going to concentrate on my state of mind while playing.

Any thoughts are very welcome about this.

Update: Dubbeling my BR!

Yesterday i played a 4/180 donkament. Wich I ended runner up, rewarded with a nice $144. So I can move up again. With playing 6K hands on 5NL with a winrate of ~30BB/100 i think i could take it to 10NL again.

Here is the last hand of the tourney, any comments?

Begin of april sucked, but i recovered pretty quickly, as you can see here.

Wednesday, April 04, 2007

Short update (I like these):

Hands played 5NL: 2600
Hands played 10NL: 200

BB/100 5NL: 49.50
BB/100 10NL: -24,50

Net won 5NL: $ 49
Net won 10NL: - $ 24,50

Net losses to SnG's: $10

Current roll: $ 90

So I should give up the sng's but i can't let go. I play very wel poker but it seemde i get sucked out every time I play them. BLEGH!

Yesterday I had the best session this month. Due 2 donkeys i accumulated 96BB/100 over a session of 620 hands. 1 donk was steaming and i shared 4 tables with him. You got to love it.

It started with me getting some hands like AQ, AJs, TT in the BB. With Villain having a pfr% of 35, I thought reraising was the best option and he called everytime. At one point he started to reraise me a cople of hands. I pushed AQ and he called with A9s... I addmit it was risky but i was ahead I thought. (after this is stacked him 2,5 times more)

The other donk i stacked quit lucky. If he hitted a piece of the flop he betted a PSB (pot sized bet) every time. One time he did it again on a Kh 8h 2d board... I had Ah 9h in the hole. He Potted again. And i would give me 12/15 outs and with him having a weak King imo i could push him off the hand. But in some sort off presure i pushed the turn. Why?? I don't know maybe because he was such a donk. But i caught another heart on the river. And he called my allin with K7o. Pretty sick if you ask me (but i thought he could lay it down, wrong thought, at least the read was pretty good.)

After this session i thoughted by myself i had a little luck finally, but i didn't was happy about my game. Because i was gettin involved in to much marginal situations. Especially with donks, i try to much to stack them. So i play a LAG game, because i think if i play TAG the wont pay me off as good.

1 hand i missed so much value.

Hero is BTN 500BB (500BB is 1 keer dubbelen op dit niveau - BB is Big blinds hier)
Villain is UTG 500BB (Regular 60/35/5 aggresive donk)

Hero dealt Ad As

Villain raises 4BB, 2folds, Hero re-raises to 13BB, 2 folds, Villain calls.

Flop: [8c] [8d] [Tc]

Villain checks, Hero bets 20 BB, Villain raises 65BB, Hero pushes Allin for ~450BB, Villain folds!!!

Ik heb het idee dat ik hier had kunnen callen hier. Any thoughts?

Beginning april:

Saying EL OH EL Cashgames says everything. I slighty played above my roll on 10NL but the level of players on 10NL is so low i thought i could beat it. But after some beats and 3 buyins less and some comment of a respected player, TheLoon, i decided to go back to 5NL. It sounds horrible that limit :D.
But I am happy that I did. I stacked of a lot op ppl and only lost 1 buyin ( 60BB/100 over 800 hands). In the end of the day i was up $ 18 on 5NL, but that didn't covered my losses on 10NL but i'm on the way back I hope.

The dutch goverment announced to handle with online gambling by there residents. In their eyes we are committing a crime. In the Netherlands the law says that there can only be 1 Casino company for the reason the can oversee "gambling" problems and guess who is the biggest stockholder of the dutch Casino's? Yes, it is the goverment. With closing the cashflows from Neteller or so, we 'must' gamble in the goverments casino's. It seems to be a little weird.

Next to that the waiting lists for casino poker games are way to long. I heard some rumours that some waitingslists are up to 3 hours before you can join a poker table. Now what are they trying to accomplish with that? We need to wait for 3 hours in a casino... What do we do in that time? The majority takes a shot at roulette or blackjack games, maybe a slot machine. But in my opinion they are just promoting gambling with closing all the poker opportunities and almost pushing us towards the "real" gambling games in wich the casino always wins in the end (I don't see poker as a gambling game). For the record, if you play blackjack or roulette, and you don't count cards etc, in the end you will always loose. That's how I look at gambling games.

Poker on the other hand doesn't has a negative expecting, because when your playing you always need to take the right disicions, and reduce the expectation to get "lucky". Every time you're opponent makes a wrong disicions it will be profitable for you. So the less mistakes you make the more you will gain. That's makes it game of perfection instead of gambling. For sure there are some players who gamble in the game and don't have the knowledge or abilities to learn about the game. But in the end it is a game of skill and not of gambling.

Goals for april:
A don't want to play as much as i did the last 2 weeks of march. I want to give my social a bit more attention. And with the tennis competition starting in two weeks i will not be able to play over 1K hands on saturdays (I our tennis team we got 5 pokerplayers so i'll gain in live tourney experience).

Hands: 8.000
BB/100: 10 (at least, but with running 60BB/100 over the first 800 hands, i hope to gain some more.)
